Boat Planning

Boat Manning

  • Click on a paddler in the list to select them.
  • Then click on an empty seat in the boat.
  • Click on another occupied seat to swap the paddlers.
  • To remove someone, hover over the seat and click the small X.
  • Use the pin needle (top left of seat) to lock a paddler. They won't be moved by Magic AI.

Calculation Logic

How Balance and Trim are calculated:

  • Standard (20): Split at middle (Rows 1-5 Front, 6-10 Back).
  • Special roles help guide the Magic AI to optimally fill the boat.
  • Drummer counts to Front, Steer counts to Back.

Special Items

  • Canister: Canister: Add 25kg placeholder.
  • Guest: Guest: Add temporary paddlers not in the squad.

Tools & Stats

  • Magic KI: Magic AI: The wand automatically fills the boat optimally.
  • Trimm: Trim: Use the slider to adjust target weight (Bow/Stern).
  • Export: Export: Save the lineup as an image.

Boat Size

Switch between Standard (20) and Small (10) boat. Each size has its own completely separate plan.

General Settings

Here you can manage the basic information of your team. Change the team name, update the website, or upload a new team logo to make your team recognizable. Social media links can also be managed here.

Member Management

Manage who has access to your team here. You can invite new members via email. You can assign roles to existing members: 'Captain' for full administrative rights or 'Paddler' for regular team members. If necessary, you can also remove members.

Import Data

Import large amounts of paddlers or events via Excel or CSV. Perfect for season start.

  • Click 'Import' in the team header
  • Download the appropriate template (Paddlers/Events)
  • Upload your file (.xlsx or .csv) - Roles like Steer/Drum are automatically detected

Manage Events

  • Create new trainings or regattas using the form on the left.
  • Click Plan to start boat manning for an event.
  • Manage attendance directly in the event list.

Calendar Sync (iCal)

Automatically sync your team with an external calendar (e.g. Kadermanager). You can find this option in Team Settings.

  • Paste the iCal URL of your calendar in the settings.
  • Sync runs automatically at night or can be triggered manually.
  • Important: Events deleted in the external calendar will also be removed from the app during the next sync.

Members

  • Add new members using the form.
  • Edit members by clicking the pencil icon in the squad list.
  • Delete members with the trash icon (requires 2x confirmation).

  • Unlimited Members: Manage as many paddlers as you want without restrictions.

Subscription & Billing

You can manage your subscription anytime in the team settings. There you will also find your invoices and can update your payment method.

How do I leave a team?

You can leave a team anytime via your user profile:

  1. Click on your profile picture/avatar (top right).
  2. Select 'Leave Team' from the menu.

I don't see the 'Leave Team' button?

⚠️ You are a Captain

As a Captain, you are responsible for the team. To leave, you must either delete the team in settings or promote another user to Captain (and demote yourself). Only then will the option appear.

How do I create a new team?

Click on the team name in the main menu (top left), select 'Switch Team', and then click the '+' symbol.

My weight has changed - Why?

Your Team Captain can update your weight and paddling side to optimize the boat planning. Your own changes will overwrite this, but it's best to coordinate with your Captain.

How can I set fixed stroke paddlers?

There are two ways to define fixed stroke paddlers:

  • 1. Via Profile: Activate the 'Stroke' special role for the paddler. Magic AI will prioritize placing them in the first row.
  • 2. In the Boat: Manually place the paddler in seat 1 and click the 'Pin Needle' (top left of the seat). This fixes them in place, even when Magic AI recalculates.
